NCM RACE CALENDAR

The Frostbite Prediction 5k is a race for Summit Athletic Running Club Members and a great way to get things going!  Choose the registration category that applies to you, either a Current Member or you can become a New Member or Renew your membership by running this time prediction race.

The Medina Rec will be hosting an indoor triathlon & biathlon on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Each wave will consist of 12 participants. We will have 5 wave start times for the triathlon (Swim/bike/Run) portion and one wave for the biathlon (Bike & Run). Each sport portion will consist of 20 mins and a 5 mins transition time.

The St. Malachi Church 5 Miler & 2 Mile Run/Walk will begin and end near the St. Malachi Church. We’re looking forward to a festive morning filled with miles, entertainment, shamrocks, and an awesome post-race celebration – just don’t forget to wear your green!

Shamrock 15K and 5K is a challenging event and a GREAT way to prepare for those heading to BOSTON for the marathon in April. You can choose the 5K or the 15K. The race begins at Woodridge Middle School on Quick Road and has a start time of Noon.

The Towpath Trilogy is an annual running race series on the Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga County and benefits Canalway. The series features a variety of distances, from a 5k to a full marathon. Your participation in the Towpath Trilogy directly supports Canalway’s work programming of the Towpath Trail, developing Canal Basin Park, and dozens of other projects within the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area that make our community stronger and more vibrant.

The race series includes the Towpath Half in April, the Towpath Twilight in June, and The Towpath Marathon in October. Runners (or walkers) who complete all three races earn a custom-designed sweatshirt after the October race.

Join one of the fastest growing endurance groups in the region and connect with a community of open water swimmers. Share information, give advice, suggest workouts, training and racing tips, and network.

Kylie Rose’s Run is celebrating its Annual 5K event.  Kylie Rose Jacobs, at the age of five, was diagnosed with cancer on January 6, 2015 and has since been treated at Akron Children’s Hospital.  This year’s race proceeds will benefit Akron Children’s Hospital Childhood Blood and Cancer Fund. The Childhood Blood and Cancer Fund supports patients, their families, research, treatment, supplies, and any/all needs for the entire department.

The 8-mile swim to Alligator Lighthouse is a challenge. It’s not for the faint of heart. This is tropical open water swimming. If you’ve never done anything like this before, you will encounter stunning (for some stinging) and beautiful marine life. Year after year, people return to conquer Alligator Light!

It’s time for Kent Parks and Recreation’s annual Thanksgiving 5K Race and 1 mile Youth Fun Run! Begin your day of feasting by running in the rain, snow or shine on Thanksgiving morning. Bring a food item to benefit Kent Social Services and get a raffle ticket for a prize! The races begins and ends in Fred Fuller Park (497 Middlebury Rd. in Kent).
